300 word reflection ON CATHOLICISM:
What would this religious tradition say has been its contribution to the development of human society?
Catholics believe in living in an ethical and moral way doing so means; sharing with everyone, giving to those in need, obeying the 10 commandments and beatitudes. Catholics often go to church to hear the word of God, to hear the things that Jesus has done for us, which is the way He would like us to live. Not living unjustly and believing in equality for everyone. Lots of churches and catholic groups have set up organisations to help those in need. For instance St.Vincent De Paul, Caritas Australia, Catholic Mission, Aboriginal Catholic Ministry and many more. Catholics believe that if we work globally for profound change we can eradicate the causes of poverty and strive to achieve equality, dignity and freedom for all, regardless of faith or nationality. That we are part of a wider movement for social justice. It doesn't hurt to donate a little time and/or money to people who should be: getting the same education as you, be living in homes, who should be getting the same chance at life as you, really.
